You can be based in one of our offices within the western Southern Water patch: Durrington, Testwood, Otterbourne
Hybrid- 3 office/site and 2 WFH
It is essential for you to have a driving licence due to site visit requirements
Hours: 37 hours per week

As a
Project Manager within our Water Resources and Production team, you will oversee the delivery of key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be working on projects relating to delivering various reactive and planned projects such as outage recovery, chemical dosage and asset failure recovery (internally known as plant out of action, POOA). You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-value initiatives, utilising your project management skills and technical expertise to drive results and contribute to the success of our business.
Responsibilities

- Delivering key projects within the set scope, cost, and timeframe, exceeding customer expectations.
- Planning and overseeing project portfolios, identifying dependencies and ensuring smooth execution.
- Taking full ownership of project risks and issues, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining tight control over project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment to project goals and deadlines.
- Balancing quality deliverables with time and cost constraints, maintaining high standards throughout.
Joining a highly motivated and driven team, you will be part of a growing structure where you might have line management responsibility in the future! To be successful in this highly empowering role, you will have strong background and experience in managing high value projects with expertise in managing the project lifecycle and delivering change through NEC contracts, therefore exposure to contract management is highly valuable. Being a skilled negotiator and exceptional attention to detail, your strong business case writing abilities, and results-driven focus will be paramount in this role. With your proven ability to manage risks, compliance, and multiple delivery teams across various stakeholders you will be resilient under pressure with a ‘can do’ attitude and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Degree in relevant field will be desirable or Project Management Qualifications (or working towards). Experience in Engineering or Water Industry/ Infrastructure also preferred. It will be advantageous if you have NEBOSH/ IOSH qualifications, however we can always support for you to gain the qualification if you are a keen learner!
