Wipro is looking for a Project Manager with previous experience of the UK Savings & Retirement sector, particularly both individual and workforce pensions. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on supporting the successful delivery and execution of major strategic programmes and projects

As a Project Manager you will be a part of the Insurance Practice where we help insurance companies transform the way they do business through digital powered customer experience & analytics/cognition enabled business transformation. Our transformation consulting framework enables modernization & complete digitalization of insurance organization. Leading practices include - Sales & Distribution Transformation, POS Transformation, Underwriting Transformation, Claims Transformation.
Purpose of the Role:
The role will have a primary focus on leading the delivery of one of our core strategic deals. Accountable for the end to end delivery applying fit-for-purpose application of IT & Change to support timely business outcomes and quality. The project Manager will be expected to be the first point of contact for communications - cascading down to team, creating clear line of sight to IT and Change, Client objectives, communications & messaging.
Your Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager you will:
• The delivery and governance of agreed pieces of work to time,
cost and quality
• Ensure a focus and on-going challenge around the scope and
associated business case of each piece of work
• To demonstrate effective governance of risk and issue
management
• To build and maintain strong relationships with the business
and other key stakeholders
• To effectively control external resources and suppliers
To effectively deploy appropriate IT & Change toolkit (e.g.
QMS/Agile) ensuring a focus on quality and timely delivery and
operate within the appropriate standards. (Includes proactive
management of fit-for-purpose delivery methodology, timely gating
submissions and supporting project documentation)
• To lead in the delivery of solutions which support and enhance
the IT architecture and operate within the agreed business
service levels and standards
• To engage with Service and release management in a timely
manner to ensure the provision of controlled environments and
release management processes in order to support change
• Quality Management of the IT Delivery Approach (continual
challenge and improve organisation / process / estimation)
Safeguard system assets - ensuring short term delivery objectives
are met without compromising longer term strategy and system
integrity
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
Extensive Project Management experience including working with Project governance and quality
assurance, supplier management and planning & priority setting
• Proven track record in managing successfully end-to-end IT projects to consistently high
standards (time, quality & cost),
• Consistently worked in collaboration with Applications Development, IT Service, IT Security, business areas
and/or third party suppliers
• Track record in successfully managing peopleTrack record in leading and managing teams /or business units
(Non-IT) in a matrix structure
• Broad knowledge of the UK Savings & Retirement sector, particularly both individual and workforce pensions
Desirable Skills & Knowledge:
•Broad knowledge of the UK Savings & Retirement sector, particularly both individual and workforce pensions
•Platform Awareness/Exposure (FNZ , TCS BaNCS, Sonata, iPipeline also useful)
•Awareness/Exposure Low / No-Code platforms (e.g. Appian)
•Data Analytics, AI and Machine Learning exposure (particularly in the Insurance space with platforms such as KOFAX, Five9, Avaamo)
