Business Analyst / Project Manager

Interim 6 month contract

Outside IR35

A confidential organisation within the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a strategic underwriting platform initiative.

The Role

This role will manage the full project lifecycle, from business requirements and process design through to vendor selection and implementation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with business objectives and operational best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, governance, and delivery
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
Lead stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment across business and technical teams
Capture, document, and manage functional and non-functional business requirements
Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand business needs
Design and document underwriting process flows and optimisation opportunities

Lead the development and execution of RFPs for underwriting platforms

Conduct vendor evaluations and present recommendations to senior leadership

Monitor project risks, issues, and progress, providing clear reporting throughout

Skills & Experience

Strong background in business analysis and project management
Proven experience leading RFP and vendor selection processes
Solid process design and optimisation capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience with underwriting processes and MGA/UW platforms is highly desirable
