Job Title: Project Manager – Data Centre Fit-Outs

Reports To: Head of Projects / Programme Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and coordinate the fit-out of Data Centre infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or technical project delivery within mission-critical environments, particularly data centres, and will be adept at managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers in a fast-paced, high-compliance setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end project management of data centre fit-out projects including white space, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), IT infrastructure, and security systems.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Manage procurement and delivery of services and equipment, ensuring adherence to quality, scope, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings, stakeholder updates, and reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and data centre operational standards.
• Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
• Perform risk management and issue resolution throughout the project life cycle.
• Prepare regular status reports and post-project evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) delivering complex construction or technical fit-out projects, preferably within data centres or similar mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of data centre design principles, including power, cooling, containment, and security.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, procurement, and contract negotiations (e.g., JCT/NEC).
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant building codes and compliance requirements.
• Degree or certification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is desirable.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in live data centre environments and working under change control protocols.
• Knowledge of commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and handover documentation processes.
• Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency standards in data centre construction.
