Project Manager – Security infrastructure

6‑Month Contract

Hybrid – Green Park, Reading (2 days/week) + flexibility for Newbury

We’re recruiting an experienced Project Manager to support a major telecoms security and compliance programme. This is a hands‑on delivery role operating across complex technical environments, ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity and can drive clarity, structure, and progress across multiple workstreams.

You’ll lead delivery across a blend of technical remediation, network infrastructure, and asset management workstreams aligned to the Telecoms Security Act (TSA). This includes resolving issues across multi‑vendor networks, improving access and identity controls, stabilising management plane systems, and driving data‑led asset management across legacy estates.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

Managing technical remediation across telecoms networks where issues exist between vendors or suppliers (e.g., access, connectivity, ownership, configuration gaps)

Overseeing Management Plane systems to ensure correct separation, migration, and operational stability

Delivering IDAM remediation, including permissions, credentials, and role‑based access controls

Coordinating infrastructure fixes across servers, platforms, and network tooling

Leading asset management activities across heritage network and cyber estates, including reporting, database work, and data quality

Conducting independent fact‑finding, shaping requirements, and driving delivery without relying on pre‑defined packs or fully scoped workstreams

The successful Project Manager will have:

Strong telecoms background (TSA experience highly desirable)
Experience in regulated or security‑sensitive environments
Hands‑on project manager who can operate autonomously and bring structure to ambiguity
Comfortable working across technical teams, suppliers, and operational stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage data‑driven workstreams
Confident communicator who can challenge, influence, and drive outcomes
