Our client is a world renowned Oil & Gas company and are seeking a Project Manager to work within their specialty lubricants / chemicals division. In this role you will manage R&D and innovation / product development into manufacturing.

Role Overview

  • Manage the R&D, innovation, and product development portfolio, overseeing project managers for individual projects.
  • Track resources and identify constraints impacting project delivery; engage with senior management to resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor the R&D budget and provide regular reports to the Technical & Product Lead for effective budget management.
  • Own the innovation pipeline process.
  • Coordinate technical data exploitation through commercial publications and events.
  • Track projects and report progress to senior management as necessary.
  • Support ISO 9001 and customer audits for innovation and product development.
  • Assist in implementing ISCC+ certification, integrating it into the product development strategy.
  • Serve as the owner of Monday.com project management software, responsible for staff training and project tracking implementation.
  • Gather customer feedback from the Commercial Team to inform innovation strategy.
  • Engage with the wider community within company to shape innovation strategy.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Specialty Chemicals: Strong background in specialty chemicals and their applications.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex R&D / product developmetn projects from initiation to launch.
  • Budget Management: Proficient in tracking and managing project budgets.
  • Resource Allocation: Ability to identify and resolve resource conflicts effectively.
  • ISO Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and audit processes.
  • Certification Knowledge: Understanding of ISCC+ certification requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with project management tools.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in project delivery role within the chemicals process business.
