As the Project Quality Engineer with Dematic, you will be responsible and tasked with ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the customer lifecycle, from project planning and design to implementation and closure and the following phase of Lifecycle Services and Solutions.
This role involves working closely with project teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and key customers of Dematic to identify potential risks, establish quality standards, and implement effective quality control measures.
This role will see you as a quality champion, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that projects meet customer requirements and company standards. The focus of your role will be to support the Engineering Services teams with the management of Quality issues with our products and solutions.
Leading Quality activities for the identification of Root Cause and implementation of continuous Improvement activities; you will facilitate the close out of issues by engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Safety, Manufacturing, R&D, engineering, installation, etc.

Tasks And Qualifications
Quality Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement tailored quality plans aligned with company standards and project goals
- Define clear quality objectives, metrics, and acceptance criteria
- Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the project lifecycle
- Monitor and report on quality status across dedicated projects
Requirements & Verification
- Ensure project requirements are clear, complete, and testable
- Participate in requirement gathering and validation sessions
- Verify that designs and implementations meet defined specifications
Process Improvement & Problem Solving
- Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to enhance quality and reduce defects
- Conduct root cause analyses and drive corrective actions
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies
Inspection, Testing & Reporting
- Plan and execute inspections, audits, and reviews throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyse test results to detect trends, defects, or deviations
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and deliver insightful reports
Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Ensure supplier readiness and compliance with project scope and quality standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and suppliers
- Communicate quality expectations and provide expert guidance to project teams
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
- Capture and apply lessons learned across projects and functions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits with professionalism and precision
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Project Execution
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Proven ability to write and produce technical reports
- Ability to oversee internal and external quality audits.
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards and expertise in quality management
- Proven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk Management
- Previous experience in Intralogistics / Supply Chain / Machine Engineering
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability
- Leader and team player with conflict resilience, “right-first time” mentality
- Capibility to maintain a positive attitude through change and collaboration
- Data-driven and familiarity with Power BI and/or other data capturing tools
- Preferred (Process / 3rd Party) Audit skills
- Strong capabilities in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Capable of working with Excel data to analyse trends and produce reports and presentations.
- Fluent in English required. Other languages beneficial
- Ability to travel internationally (EMEA) to project and customer sites (approx. 40% of the year).
