Property Accountant

Property Client Accountant | Birmingham | Hybrid | £40,000–£50,000

We’re working with a leading commercial property consultancy that advises landlords and investors on the management, leasing and performance of commercial real estate across the UK and internationally.

They are looking to appoint a Property Client Accountant to join their Birmingham team, supporting a varied portfolio of commercial assets and working closely with surveyors and property managers.

This role sits firmly within client-side property accounting, with responsibility for service charges, client reporting and compliance in line with RICS standards.

The role

• Preparing and reviewing service charge budgets, forecasts and year-end reconciliations
• Managing client and tenant bank accounts, including reconciliations
• Producing client financial reports, statements and supporting schedules
• Ensuring service charge accounts are prepared in line with lease terms and RICS guidelines
• Working closely with property managers and surveyors to resolve queries and support portfolio performance

About you

• Proven experience in property / service charge accounting within a managing agent or real estate environment
• Strong understanding of RICS service charge principles
• Experience working with property management systems (e.g. MRI, Yardi, TRAMPS, QUBE)
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal teams and external clients
• Part-qualified or qualified accountants are welcome.
