The Role

As a Commercial Client Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial operations for a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clients and regulatory bodies. You will be a central point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the financial integrity of high-profile assets across London and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end client accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties (e.g. offices, retail, mixed-use)
• Preparation of service charge reconciliations, budgets, and year-end accounts in accordance with RICS guidelines
• VAT reporting: submission of accurate returns, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with HMRC standards
• Producing monthly and quarterly client reports including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis
• Managing tenant account queries, allocations, and ensuring accurate rent and service charge postings
• Collaborating with surveyors, property managers and external auditors
• Using and maintaining a property management system (e.g. Yardi, MRI, QUBE, Tramps) to process and report financial data

Requirements

• Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Strong understanding of service charge accounting and VAT reporting
• Experience using property management systems (Yardi, QUBE, MRI, or similar)
• Prior experience in commercial real estate or property management sector is essential
• Excellent Excel skills and financial reporting acumen
• Strong communication and organisational skills
