Job Title: Head of Property | Property Partner

Location: Central Manchester

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Property / Property Partner to lead and grow a high-performing Property team in Central Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting, expanding business and play a pivotal role in shaping a market-leading Property offering. The successful candidate will work directly on high-value client matters originating from a tax advisory business, giving you exposure to complex and premium work.

As Head of Property, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional legal services, overseeing a growing conveyancing team, and driving strategic growth plans over the next 12 months and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Property function, including conveyancing and property transactions.
Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of residential and commercial property matters.
Take ownership of high-value and complex property work sourced directly from a high-end client base.

Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the Property team.

Support and mentor junior fee-earners and oversee the recruitment and development of additional team members (aiming to grow by 10+ conveyancers within the year).

Ensure high standards of service delivery, client care, and compliance.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, including advising on risk, value, and commercial outcomes.

Collaborate closely with other leadership teams to support cross-service initiatives and client engagement.

About You

Qualified Property lawyer with 8+ years PQE.
Demonstrable experience in leading and managing teams.
Strong background in both residential and commercial property law.
Experience handling high-value and complex transactions.
Exceptional client relationship and business development skills.
A proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for growth and leadership.
Excellent communication, people management, and organisational skills
