This role will be supporting projects across the UK and Ireland therefore we are open to base location.
What you'll be doing
As a Proposal Writer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Gather, collate and write material in order to meet the requirements for pre-qualification and tender submissions
- Work to a programme of deliverables to meet tender requirements
- Capture and support development of bid ‘win themes’ from tender strategy meetings
- Write specific responses to questions in a any submission type (MSQ, PQQ or ITT)
- Produces bespoke material to support business development and account management activities
- Research and write supporting information for use in proposals, including case studies, CVs, project best practice and project innovations
- Proactively engage in knowledge management systems, capturing and submitting evidence for use in future bids
- Liaise with the operations teams in order to ensure that they are briefed on the details of the submission and work with them on the resolution of technical responses
- Keep abreast of proposal best practice, including guidance to less experienced staff and those from other areas of the business
Who we're looking for
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
- Previous experience in work winning / tendering environment
- An excellent standard of written English, with strong verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge and experience of the techniques and methods of proposal writing, and the requirements for quality presentations and customer-focused communication
- A thorough knowledge of Word and other Microsoft Office software
- Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A self-starter who can manage their own time and who proactively seeks and executes activities that will add value
The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite publishing software
- Knowledge of the Rail industry or experience within a project-based organisation
