We’re looking for a detail-driven Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our growing finance function in Manchester. If you have Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience and enjoy working with numbers, processes, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great next step.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our supplier processes accurate, efficient, and on time.

The Role

As part of our Finance team, you’ll ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on schedule, while helping maintain strong relationships with suppliers across the business.

This is a deadline-focused role that suits someone organised, methodical, and confident using financial systems and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately
• Assisting with payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time
• Reconciling supplier statements

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with invoice processing and supplier reconciliations
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Confident communicator with suppliers and internal teams
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Desirable:

• Multi-currency transaction experience
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Access Dimensions or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables)
• Understanding of accounting principles
