The Role
We are looking for QA Auditors to join our factory team! Reporting to one of our Quality Managers the successful candidate will undertake various tasks to assist with the smooth operations of our Production department.
The QA Auditor is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and evaluating the organization's quality systems and procedures. This role supports operational teams by maintaining high technical and quality standards in line with business objectives. The QA Auditor ensures compliance with Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and assists in resolving non-conformances and customer complaints.
This is a full-time role based at our headquarters in Kendal. Hours of work are annualised and include 12 hour day shifts and night shifts. You will be required to work a 10 week shift pattern, which includes a 2 week holiday break within each rotation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and GMP. Identify non-conformances, provide objective evidence, and assist operational teams in corrective actions.
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc product testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to investigate customer complaints and out-of-specification results. Perform traceability studies and ensure thorough investigations.
- Monitor and resolve supplier and factory non-conformances. Ensure investigations are thorough, root causes are identified, and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Provide ongoing technical advice and support to factory teams to promote quality standards and resolve quality issues.
- Complying with safety procedures including but not limited to: adopting safe working practices, wearing the required protective clothing and use of safety equipment appropriate to the role.
- Carry out environmental monitoring in line with a defined programme
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and GMP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
- BSc / MSc in Food Science
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Aware of asceptic techniques and how to minimise cross contamination
