QA Automation Engineer

Wipro is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our agile delivery teams. As the QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining test automation frameworks and ensuring the quality of our products. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Your Responsibilities
As QA Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber, and TypeScript.
- Executing automated and manual tests for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Participating in QA planning activities including test estimation, sprint planning, story grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Leading or supporting regression testing, defect triage, test case scripting, execution, and test reporting.
- Collaborating with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
Mandatory Skills
- Expert-level skills in Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber, and TypeScript.
- Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, UI, and mobile testing.
- Proficient in GitLab for version control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
Desirable Skills
- Experience conducting Automation Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Good understanding of API automation (RESTful services, GraphQL).
- Prior experience with Applitools, Sauce Labs, or similar tools.
- Exposure to monitoring tools like New Relic or similar.
- Previous experience in the UK Energy Retail domain.
