We’re now recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer with a blend of manual and automation capabilities to join us in Leyland, supporting our tour operator brands . In this role, you’ll p rovid e technical expertise and guidance for assuring quality in your assigned project and delivery team. You will take responsibility for promoting technical excellence within your delivery team ensuring the teams output is of the highest level of quality. The dnata Travel engineering team is responsible for the growth and evolution of an in-house developed travel platform which is being developed and rolled out across multiple brands, departments and teams across the world.
You will be joining a smart, experienced, fast-moving team who continue to explore new technologies, tools & techniques to both grow this global platform and to service the growing needs of the business that the platform supports.
As a Quality Engineer, you will have a proven strong background in quality assurance and be expected to contribute to the wider team of quality engineers and software developers, offshore teams, infrastructure and architecture teams, to deliver the product roadmap. You will support both the Development & Delivery Managers by promoting quality within your team and ensuring high quality features are delivered.
You need be experienced in both manual and automation testing techniques and principles to champion best practices to help provide continuous visibility of progress both internally and to external stakeholders.
We need someone who is a g reat communicator , able to clearly understand, solve and educate the team in all aspects of quality assurance. You will have a working knowledge of software delivery best practices, especially Agile and be comfortable working as part of cross functional team .
This is a hybrid role, based 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely each week.
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Educated to Degree standard (or equivalent) in an analytical or related subject
- Technical management, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Good planning skills.
Experience:
- Analysing Test Requirements, Test Case Design and Test Execution
- UI, Functional, Regression and Sanity testing
- Modern test case management software such as Dev Ops and JIRA
- Functional and non-functional test strategy and implementation
- Confident with Selenium webdriver browser automation.
- Automation frameworks that support test development across any of Web, Mobile, API
- Familiar with protocols such as SOAP/REST and object notations such as JSON and XML
- Manual & Exploratory Testing
