About Our Role
Slalom is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to help establish and grow this practice within Delivery. This role requires working with project teams and leadership to define test strategy and approaches, as well as driving implementation across a variety of Slalom clients.
At Slalom, Quality Assurance is dedicated to maximising the value and effectiveness of our delivery teams by bringing modern, innovative testing techniques and tools to our solutions and our clients. We embrace collaborative, agile testing processes and focus on enabling whole-team ownership of quality.
Successful candidates will have experience developing testing processes and strategies across different industries, as our clients will turn to you to help implement these programs for them.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Slalom London’s QA capability — define best practices, standards, and frameworks, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across projects.
- Lead quality and testing strategy for complex client projects across a range of industries, with a focus on Salesforce-based solutions such as Service Cloud and Field Service.
- Manage and coordinate QA teams across multiple engagements, including onshore, nearshore, and offshore resources.
- Shape and govern test approaches from initial planning through to delivery and closure, ensuring risk-based, value-driven quality assurance.
- Provide QA governance and oversight — review and assure test strategies, plans, and execution across client projects.
- Partner with product managers, delivery leads, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between delivery and quality objectives.
- Lead defect triage, monitor progress, and deliver actionable quality metrics to both project and client leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA practices by introducing new tools, methods, and automation opportunities.
- Mentor and coach QA professionals, building their skills and supporting career growth.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new QA team members to grow the practice.
- Act as a thought leader — representing QA in internal communities, client discussions, and industry events.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Test Manager, QA Lead, or Capability Lead on large-scale enterprise projects.
- Strong track record in building and maturing QA practices in consulting or in-house delivery organisations.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Zephyr.
- Deep understanding of multiple testing disciplines — functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, and automation.
- Strong background in QA governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON, API testing (Postman, ReadyAPI) and automation tools (Tricentis, Provar, Copado Robotics Tester).
- ISTQB Foundation certified; ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent desirable.
- Skilled mentor and team leader, with experience uplifting capability across a QA function.
- Optional - Experience in Salesforce testing, including Service Cloud and Field Service, and in setting test strategies across complex integrations.
