As a QC Microbiology Specialist, you’ll support technical operations through microbiological testing, data review, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values precision, innovation, and safety - working on exciting new development projects and contributing to a culture of excellence. This is a
shift based position consisting of 4 on/4 off days 8am-7pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
- Lead investigations into OOS/OOT results and support CAPA implementation
- Conduct environmental and utility monitoring in cleanroom and controlled environments
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure inspection-readiness
- Provide training in microbiological techniques and support team development
- Drive process improvements and support validation and project work
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated microbiology lab (pharma or biopharma)
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring, bioburden testing, and microbial identification
- Degree in a relevant life sciences subject (Microbiology preferred)
- Ability to work according to shift pattern (4 on/4 off days 8am-7pm)
