We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Greenkeeper to join our team and help maintain the high standards that define Brocket Hall.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced landscaping tasks including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and pest management with adherence to safety guidelines
- Oversee and participate in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers
- Assist in the formulation and execution of annual course maintenance plans, seasonal changes, and turf management practices
- Maintain and repair maintenance equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Conduct inspections of the course to diagnose problems and implement corrective measures as necessary
- Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices to enhance their skills and ensure effective course maintenance
- Engage with members and guests to provide insights about course conditions and any upcoming maintenance activities
- Promote and adhere to health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices
Requirements
- Proven experience as a greenkeeper or in a similar role, with relevant qualifications in turf management
- Comprehensive knowledge of turf management practices, health and safety regulations, and maintenance equipment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively manage tasks
- Excellent leadership and communication skills for training and mentoring team members
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Valid driver's license and the ability to transport equipment as necessary
