Quality Assurance Engineer

Insight Global are seeking an entry-level QA Engineer on behalf of a global IT client of theirs on a 12-month contract basis (Inside-IR35), 4 days a week onsite in Cambridge, 1 day remote.

As this is an entry-level position, no prior professional experience is required. Comprehensive training will be provided, primarily through on-the-job learning, team pairing, and a structured 2–3 month ramp-up period before you begin working independently. This is an ideal role for an aspiring graduate out of university, looking to get their foot in the door at a multinational enterprise level environment to grow their career.

You'll join a QA team of five, collectively responsible for executing approximately 550 tests each week, with a focus on both regression and new feature testing. Your daily responsibilities will include writing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, reproducing issues reported via support tickets, and maintaining the QA lab environment.

Collaboration is key in this role—you’ll work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards, while also learning directly from senior engineers through hands-on support.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Scientific/Mathematical related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Test automation frameworks and scripting (Python or PowerShell)
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles
• Understanding or experience of testing virtualization-based Windows applications
• Test management and bug tracking tools
• A passion for learning and growth opportunities

Additional Skills:

• Experience in Agile environments
• Experience working on QA related projects
