About the Role

Flexitallic UK Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our experienced Quality Team. Based at our Cleckheaton manufacturing site, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products and materials meet the strict requirements of our business, our customers, and the safety-critical industries we serve — including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Petrochemical sectors.


This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of industry-leading sealing solutions, working in a highly regulated, quality-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Goods Inward inspection and testing of raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with purchase and quality requirements

• Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) using XRF analysers to confirm material specifications

• Review and approve Material Test Reports (MTRs) (EN 10204 3.1) against relevant standards and customer requirements

• Raise and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) for any non-conforming incoming materials

• Carry out in-process and final inspection of manufactured goods in line with applicable specifications and tolerances

• Adhere to and apply documented quality procedures as defined in the Quality Management System

• Work in accordance with Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

• Interpret and assess customer specifications and technical documentation when required

• Compile clear and accurate inspection and test reports to support traceability and compliance

• Create and maintain Manufacturing Quality Control Charts to support Manufacturing operations 

• Raise and process non-conformance reports, deviation requests, and concession applications in line with internal procedures

• Assemble and verify complete End of Manufacturing Reports (EOMRs), including certificates, inspection and test results, and compliance documentation

• Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of both internal and external non-conformances

• Collaborate closely with production, planning, and quality teams to communicate inspection status and resolve quality issues

• Provide flexible support across other inspection duties as required to maintain workflow and departmental coverage


Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality

• Mechanical or manufacturing apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience

• Practical knowledge of dimensional inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges, CMM)

• Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment


Desirable Skills & Certifications

• ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor Training

• CMM programming or operation (Mitutoyo MCOSMOS preferred)

• Experience with PMI/XRF testing

• Hardness testing methods (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers)

• Familiarity with GD&T and technical drawings

• PCN Level II in NDT methods (PT, VT etc)

• Previous experience preparing EOMRs for high-integrity projects

• Awareness of oil & gas, nuclear, or aerospace standards and documentation
