Quality Engineer

Join our Air Control Industries Ltd team, where you’ll help uphold and improve standards across our business. Working within our QHSE Department, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting audits, and driving process improvements that support our ambitious growth targets.

As a hands-on position based at our facility in Axminster, Devon, this role requires on-site presence and is not available for hybrid or remote working.

Responsibilities

• Support the QHSE team in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 80079-34 standards.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to procedures and compliance requirements.
• Investigate non-conformances and warranty claims; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support and maintain quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide QHSE-related support across multiple departments.
• Support and occasionally deputise for the QHSE Manager and Quality Technician.
• Cover responsibilities of the QHSE Manager and Quality Technician as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Internal Auditor qualification (any management system).
• Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role or similar within manufacturing/QHSE.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and general quality processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a hands-on environment.

Desirable Skills

• Lead Auditor qualification.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 80079-34 standards.
• Experience working in customer-facing quality environments.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 08:15 – 17:00

Friday: 08:15 – 12:45

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
