Job Description
The post holder will be joining an experienced, specialist Infrastructure and major projects contractor, who have a number of projects currently in the North. Capitalising on their growing reputation, expanding client base and strong position.
As the need for ensuring compliance grows, it has been identified that a dedicated role focusing on Major Projects and Infrastructure
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager role within large-scale infrastructure, pipeline, or energy sector projects.
- Proven background in pipeline construction QA/QC, including trenchless technologies (HDD, auger bore), welding inspections, coating systems, and pressure testing.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualified, with the ability to manage audit processes and maintain quality systems to international standards.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.8, BS 4515-1, API 1104, ISO 21809).
- Competent in reviewing and compiling quality documentation such as ITPs, method statements, and quality dossiers for mechanical completion and handover.
- Familiarity with Civil Engineering QA processes, particularly for works relating to access roads, AGI/BVS foundations, and reinstatement scopes.
- Strong experience managing subcontractor quality deliverables and driving resolution of quality issues in a high-paced construction environment.
- Qualification in welding inspection (CSWIP), NDT (PCN) or mechanical engineering background advantageous.
