Role Overview

The Quality Engineer will provide full lifecycle quality assurance support across the project, from initial kick-off through to final handover and completion. The role ensures all works are delivered in compliance with project specifications, QC1 requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable industry standards. The position operates within a security-sensitive environment and requires SC Clearance. Outside IR35 Payments can be accommodated

Key Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end quality assurance support from project mobilisation through to final completion and close-out
Review, assess, and formally accept procedures, method statements, inspection plans, and quality documentation in line with QC1 requirements and project standards
Carry out quality control inspections in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Verify compliance of works against drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
Manage the ongoing review, verification, and final acceptance of Lifetime Records (LTRs) and quality documentation
Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and fully traceable for final handover

Undertake final release inspections to confirm works are complete and compliant prior to client acceptance

Witness testing and inspections as required, including site-based and off-site / factory testing

Ensure test results and inspection outcomes are accurately recorded and reported

Attend and contribute to quality, technical, and progress meetings

Provide clear reporting and professional input on quality-related matters

Interface effectively with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives

Promote and maintain a strong quality culture across the project

Identify quality issues and non-conformances, supporting investigation, corrective actions, and close-out

Maintain accurate, auditable quality records in line with project, client, and regulatory requirements

Security & Compliance

This role is based on a secure site and SC Clearance is mandatory
Candidates must be eligible to work on security-cleared or defence-related infrastructure projects
Compliance with all site security protocols and client requirements is essential
