As a Quality Manager – Supply Chain, within the Transmissions & Mechanical Parts Centre of Excellence (TCE) department, you will work closely with supply chain engineers to ensure quality control, quality system & regulatory requirements are met and to drive excellence in quality assurance at Leonardo.
This role will present you with a diverse range of tasks and, as the key point of contact for quality issues in the department, the platform to liaise across operations, customers and suppliers to manage a variety of quality issues to meet customer requirements.

What you will do as Quality Manager - Supply Chain
- Review customer and regulatory requirements ensuring that they are met and adhered to across the supply base
- Be the Lead for Quality within Transmission supply base, visiting suppliers and supporting with audits
- Prepare and deliver the quality training required to, ensure the Supply Chain meet the regulatory, customer and company requirements
- Review and approve product qualification documentation as appropriate (First Article Inspection Reports)
- Prepare, review and approve quality procedures on behalf of the TCE Quality Control Manager.
- Act as a liaison between operations, customers and suppliers on a variety quality issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Lead investigation with Supply Chain for customer complaints received from the aircraft operators in both the military & civil markets.
- Plan work, review and report on progress and status of work to provide a clear statement of position, issues and actions
- Take an active role in business improvement and, as necessary, carry out improvement activities
- Assist in the development of others and take a proactive approach in personal development
- Maintain and review the Supplier Quality Control Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) with the TCE Quality Control Manager
- Represent the TCE Quality Control Manager at key Customer, Management and Operations meetings, as necessary
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a degree in Engineering, material science discipline or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Aerospace or Engineering Manufacture, including special process
- Knowledge of quality systems activities, concessions, First Article Inspection (FAI), First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and experience in concession process for both civil (electronic) and military
- Excellent organizational skills to manage conflicting requirements and multiple projects
- To be able to plan your own diary and be flexible to change if issues arise
- Willingness to be flexible and work on cross department projects and initiatives
Full driving license required as travel to suppliers by car will be needed.
