We’re looking for a
Quality Technologist to join our team at our
Carrickmacross site, working
onsite 5 days a week.
In this role, you’ll be a key technical partner to our operations team, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction You’ll also play a vital role in audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives 🔍.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
🛡️ Champion Safety & Quality
- Foster a culture of food safety and quality across the site
- Promote our “Go for Zero” safety initiative by encouraging proactive behaviours and root cause analysis
- Track and improve safety and food safety performance metrics
📈 Drive Technical Excellence
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Quality Standards (OPEX MS)
- Lead factory line walks, inspections, and validations
- Manage supplier relationships and non-conformances
- Support internal and external audits, including mock recalls and traceability exercises
- Investigate issues such as microbial complaints and share learnings across the business
🎓 Support Innovation & Training
- Assist with production trials to ensure food safety and quality
- Deliver training on allergen awareness, food hygiene, HACCP, and other core technical skills
💪 Build a High-Performing Team
- Contribute to team goals and training plans
- Demonstrate and promote company values and ideal behaviours
💡 Deliver Value
- Use data and OPEX tools to identify problems and drive improvements
- Lead technical projects and support site-wide initiatives
✅ What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong working knowledge of BRC and food industry regulations
- Experience in a Technical/Quality role within a food manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to write clear reports and risk assessments
- HACCP & Food Safety Level 3 certification
Desirable Extras
- Experience with 8-step problem solving
- Proven track record in leading 3rd party audits
- Foundation-level knowledge in Food Safety, Technology, or a related discipline
