About The Role
As a
Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing all costs related to infrastructure and civil engineering works. You’ll support senior members of the commercial team, lead procurement and supply chain activities, and ensure value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

What you'll be doing
Analytical Thinking & Decision Making
- Systematically order and check data for accuracy.
Cost Engineering
- Independently measure, record, and value work in accordance with procedures.
Planning
- Review programmes of work and align commercial activities accordingly.
- Understand delay and disruption impacts.
Procurement
- Gather and document procurement requirements.
- Understand and manage supplier procurement processes.
Commercial Management
- Manage customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Measure works and agree valuations with subcontractors.
- Collate cost and value data.
- Prepare cost reconciliation statements.
Development
- Support the growth of junior team members.
- Work towards professional membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
Who we're looking for
Essential
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying
Desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Achievement-focused mindset
- Previous commercial work experience
- Industry knowledge of infrastructure and civil engineering projects
