About The Role
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make a real impact? Join our team and take ownership of commercial responsibilities while supporting both junior and senior colleagues in delivering excellence.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage all costs and income within your area of responsibility, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You’ll play a key role in procurement and supply chain management, and actively contribute to the development of less experienced commercial staff.
What you'll be doing
- Lead commercial management activities across projects, including cost reconciliation and value tracking.
- Use ERP and digital systems to manage data and commercial processes.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, and build up estimates from first principles.
- Measure and interpret works information, specifications, and drawings.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement and adjudication.
- Support programme planning and review weekly/monthly progress.
- Understand and manage customer contracts and stakeholder expectations.
- Maintain compliance with company governance (BMS & GMCEs).
Who we're looking for
- A qualified Quantity Surveyor with a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Holds a CSCS card (Academically or Professionally Qualified).
- Chartered or working towards membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
- A role model for junior team members, committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
