Overview
Join our dynamic team at Manchester Airport, where your expertise will help shape the safe and efficient delivery of small works projects. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering excellence, safety leadership, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Objectives
Managing the delivery of quoted small works across the site, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs, airport engineering standards, and QHSE procedures.
Your Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Support the Quoted Works Contract Manager in delivering small works projects.
- Plan and schedule works with subcontractors and internal engineering teams.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Safety & Compliance Leadership
- Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and SSOW (Safe Systems of Work).
- Issue and manage permits to work, ensuring full compliance with MAG and Mitie QHSE procedures.
- Conduct audits and site inspections to uphold safety and quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, client FM leads, project managers, and internal teams.
- Provide QHSE support to the self-delivery engineering team.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project documentation.
- Support monthly reporting and performance reviews.
- Review and accept completion documentation in line with contract requirements.
General Duties
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Take on additional responsibilities aligned with your skills and experience.
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across the site.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in engineering project delivery, ideally within a similar environment.
- Project Management experience preferable
- Knowledge of CDM preferable
