Radiographer
Location: Duchy Hospital, Truro
Hours: Part Time – 15 hours per week
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to join our patient-centred team at Duchy Hospital, Cornwall’s only private hospital. This part-time role (15 hours per week) is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality imaging services and prioritising patient safety. You will be responsible for general X-ray and theatre duties, contributing to a flexible and responsive radiology service.

The hospital offers a wide range of treatments including orthopaedic surgery, spinal surgery, cardiology, cosmetic surgery, general surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, urology, and ENT.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general radiographic examinations and theatre imaging duties in accordance with hospital protocols and standards.
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Participate in the out-of-hours and weekend on-call rota.
- Support the department’s transition towards seven-day working.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to clinical audits.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to radiation protection guidelines and maintain equipment safety checks.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Ramsay’s values.
What You’ll Bring With You
- Degree or Diploma in Radiography
- HCPC registration
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the business
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota
Working Hours
- Part Time: 15 hours per week
- Department currently operates: 8am – 6pm (subject to future extension)
- Participation in out-of-hours and weekend on-call rota is expected
- Moving towards seven-day working
