Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen, for an experienced, enthusiastic Radiographer to apply for the Radiographer (Clinical Educator) role. This would be a 1.0 whole time equivalent (WTE) position. A job share will be considered if this meets the service needs and requirements.

The Radiographer (Clinical Educator) will work within the practice development team and co-ordinate the training, education and professional development of new graduates/Radiographers and Radiology Apprentices.

It is envisaged that a significant proportion of this post will be spent working clinically to supervise and engage Preceptorship staff and apprentices learners within Plain film. The successful candidate will be highly clinically visible and act as a source of feedback and guidance on training and development.

You will work as part of the team to support practice development in clinical effectiveness and professional development. They will also support, mentor and teach Radiographers in the department.

The post requires proven experience of supervising learners.

The Post Holder Will

  • Supporting the delivery of education and training to Radiographers and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure that education and training meets the specific needs of the specialist area.
  • Promote an environment that encourages learning, teaching and the development of all staff, including those undergoing training.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Education and Training within the speciality.
  • Be expected to function as an independent practitioner/clinical expert by virtue of their in-depth knowledge and experience.
  • Identify areas for development and improvement and take proactive steps to support any required changes
  • Support the measurement of the impact of training and education and new initiatives and projects.
