About The Role

Radiography Coordinator

Full-Time, Permanent. Contractual Location: Hinkley Point C, on site role.

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s most ambitious low-carbon energy projects? As a Radiography Coordinator at EDF UK, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring safety, precision, and collaboration across a dynamic construction environment. If you thrive on coordination, problem-solving, and making a real impact, this could be your next big move.

The Opportunity

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

As Radiography Coordinator, you’ll oversee the planning and execution of radiographic testing across the HPC site. You’ll ensure that all radiography activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with both EDF and international standards. Your role will be central to avoiding operational clashes, maintaining quality, and driving continuous improvement.

You’ll lead coordination meetings, anticipate risks, and work closely with contractors and internal teams to keep the project on track. This is your chance to be part of a team shaping the future of energy.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

In addition to a competitive salary starting from £65,000, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the key link between radiography service providers and installation contractors, ensuring that all testing is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Your coordination will help prevent delays and ensure that safety and compliance are never compromised.

You’ll manage the secure storage of radiographic films and support the development of digital strategies for key components. You’ll also champion alternative testing technologies that align with ALARP principles, helping to reduce radiation exposure while maintaining nuclear safety.

Your role will involve regular site presence, monitoring safety, and contributing to barrier planning. You’ll track performance using KPIs, identify trends, and work with subject matter experts to validate innovative techniques before implementation.

Who You Are

You’re a confident communicator who builds strong relationships across teams and disciplines. You bring a results-driven mindset balanced with a collaborative approach, and you’re skilled at planning, anticipating challenges, and solving complex problems.

You have a solid understanding of radiography technologies and their applications, and you’re passionate about continuous improvement. You’re experienced in large-scale construction or refit projects, ideally within the nuclear sector, and you’re familiar with HSE standards, CDM Regulations 2015, IRR2017, and Nuclear Site Licence requirements.

You hold (or have held) PCN or equivalent ISO 9712/ASME Level 2 radiography qualifications, and you’ve been appointed as a Radiation Protection Supervisor. Additional qualifications in ultrasonics or surface inspection are a plus. You’re ready to lead, support, and inspire others to deliver excellence.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 5 years.

Closing date for applications is Monday 7th July, interviews will follow shortly after.
