Role Title: Chair of the Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board (Voluntary)

Location: Ramsgate, Kent (Hybrid/Local)

Ramsgate has a 10-year vision and £20 million in government investment to spend. Now, we need an independent, strategic leader to lead the way.

We are recruiting a Chair to guide the Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board as we move from planning to delivery. This is a pivotal role for a connector who can unite residents, businesses, and political stakeholders to drive visible, concrete results for our town.

We need a Chair who can:

Lead with action: Focus on getting things done, not just talking about them.
Unite the town: Bring people together to improve our streets and build our future.
Stand up for Ramsgate: Champion our vision to the government, investors, and local organisations.
Connect the community: Act as the bridge that unites our diverse partners to drive true collaboration.

Who we are looking for:

We are searching for a "straight-talking" leader with the influence and authenticity that Ramsgate deserves. Key requirements from our Person Specification include:

Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in a senior position, demonstrating effectiveness in developing and monitoring corporate or financial strategies .
Collaborative Influence: Ability to use networking skills to build commitment and consensus within a wide range of business, community, and political stakeholders.
Equalising Voices: Proven ability to facilitate complex discussions and ensure all backgrounds and viewpoints are heard .
Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ramsgate and a genuine passion for delivering tangible improvements to everyday lives.

The Details:

Commitment: Voluntary role, estimated up to two days per month.
Term: Ideally a three-year commitment.
Independence: Candidates must be independent and unlikely to apply for Pride in Place investment for their own organisation .
