Facilitation and Equity You possess a proven ability to facilitate complex discussions and "equalise voices," ensuring all backgrounds and viewpoints are heard and valued.

Project Delivery You have experience delivering large-scale projects, community-led initiatives, or social infrastructure programs.

Independence

To maintain the integrity of our governance, the Chair must be independent and unlikely to be applying for Pride in Place investment for their own organisation.

What will you be doing?

Our Board and Mission The Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board is a collective of residents, business owners, and community leaders. As we enter "Year One" of our 10-year journey, we are moving from listening and planning to the visible delivery of a £20m investment programme. Our goal is to ensure this funding creates a lasting legacy through five core priorities revitalising our town centre, improving safety, restoring civic pride, investing in our youth and joining up our services.

The Challenge From Strategy to Action Our biggest challenge is bridging the gap between high-level government requirements and the authentic needs of our community. We need a Chair who can lead the Board through complex decision-making, ensuring we remain community-led while managing significant public funds with the highest standards of governance.

The Role of the Chair

As the independent Chair, you will be the guardian of our values—Belonging, Pride, Care, Action, and Thrive. You will

• Galvanise the Board Unite stakeholders to ensure our Vision and Regeneration Plan is delivered effectively.
• Lead the Partnership Work closely with Thanet District Council (the Accountable Body) to drive growth and manage the investment plan.
• Equalise Voices Facilitate meetings fairly to ensure every sector of our community is actively engaged and heard.
• Champion the Town Act as a prominent advocate for Ramsgate to government, investors, and the public.
