The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Real Estate team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic chance to work with the top-ranked property team in the region, engaging in high-profile matters for leading clients across a range of sectors.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role offering varied, technical, and rewarding work within a collaborative and supportive environment. The team works across sectors including financial services, industrial, energy, consumer, health and life sciences, and corporate support. You’ll be exposed to a broad and diverse workload, with real potential for growth.

Many of our paralegals have progressed to qualify as solicitors via training contracts and alternative routes.

What We’re Looking For

While we provide full training and development, we are looking for someone who:

• Demonstrates strong academic ability and transferable skills, including teamwork
• Has a clear interest in, and understanding of, real estate law
• Shows a positive, proactive attitude and a client-focused approach
• Can work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Communicates effectively and works well under pressure
• Is ambitious, organised, and a committed team player

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Run smaller transactions independently, including compliance and financial steps
• Draft and negotiate documents such as easements, transfers, surrenders, lease renewals, and licences
• Liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and counterparties
• Undertake and report on search results, title reviews, and document investigations
• Conduct legal research to respond to queries from colleagues and clients
• Manage completions and post-completion work, including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and requisitions
