The role
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Associate to support the teams continued growth on a varied and high-quality caseload which will include in particular investment and development work.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial and technical experience. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and have opportunities to be involved in business development.

The national real estate team
Our Real Estate group is one of the largest real estate teams in the UK, advising an impressive range of clients including commercial and residential developers, investors, major corporate occupiers and banks/funders. Offering exceptional market knowledge the team holds an outstanding reputation with clients and the market generally. “Clients are full of admiration for this team, noting it combines outstanding technical expertise with a “very” responsive service” (Chambers).
The team has 59 partners and 139 fee earners including specialists in construction, planning and property litigation. Our Professional Support Lawyers form one of the largest teams in the UK meaning that we work with precedents and provide training which is second to none.
The Leeds real estate team
The Leeds office of Shoosmiths has only existed for 8 years, but is a tremendous success story. Suffice to say that Shoosmiths Leeds property team shares the top 2 tiers of the Legal 500 and Chambers Directories with the established Leeds “Big Six” firms.
