Westminster Under School is looking for a bright, caring and skilled Reception Class Teacher, to expertly deliver engaging and thoughtful lessons. As this is a new role and department, this position presents a unique and exciting opportunity to be a key part of the School’s development at a historic moment, as we also expand to be fully co-ed. The successful candidate will teach a small class of approximately 16 pupils, with a full-time teaching assistant. Working closely with the Head of Pre-Prep, who will be their partner teacher, they will contribute towards the preparation of programmes of work, including half-termly planning and termly planning overviews. The Reception Class Teacher will take care of the pre-prep environment, regularly updating class and corridor displays and providing a stimulating classroom experience for all. They will also take part in trips and supervise afterschool club provision on a rotational basis, as well as assist with Open Days.
Children work significantly beyond their chronological age at Westminster Under School, therefore experience of teaching Year 1 and 2 would be advantageous, as would teaching in a Prep school environment. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline, and have a full or relevant Level 6 qualification
Please note, CVs sent without an online application form will not be accepted.
