This exciting part-time role (22.5 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday) requires flexibility, including providing cover for Ward Clerk duties when needed, to ensure continuity and support across the team.
Warm and welcoming, the successful applicant will have experience in dealing with the public, face to face and via telephone. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical & methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions. You must possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering a customer focused service.

To act as a first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, carers, visitors and other healthcare and service professionals, providing a positive and responsive point of contact on behalf of the Trust.
To operate the telephone system and direct calls to relevant staff members, also deal with enquiries efficiently, taking accurate messages and disseminating them to the relevant person.
The post will require the utilisation of good clerical, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Employment in this post requires Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
