Full-Time: 35 hours per week

The School of Health in Social Science is seeking to appoint a Receptionist to provide reception support for the Centre for Psychological Therapies and Hope Park Counselling Centre, the School’s in-house post-graduate psychological therapies and counselling training and research Centres.
The Opportunity
The post-holder will provide a full reception service and contribute to the smooth day to day running across both services. A key part of the role will be to assist the administrative teams by taking responsibility for client enquiries, managing the waiting areas, and completing some basic administrative tasks. The post-holder will be the first point of contact by phone, email and face to face for clients of both services.
Hours
Monday – Thursday – 11.45am – 8.00pm (7.25 hours plus unpaid 1 hour break)
Friday – 10.00am – 4.30pm (6 hours plus unpaid 30 minute break)
A job share arrangement may be considered.

- Ability to learn new systems including the Centres’ bespoke Database.
- Accuracy and ability to prioritise tasks within a routine.
- Ability to apply and understand relevant standard procedures and policies.
- Flexible approach to duties and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff, students, clients and members of the public and to provide a warm, friendly front of house, reflective of the ethos of Centre for Psychological Therapies and Hope Park Counselling Centre.
