The Job
As our Reconciliations Clerk, you'll be report into our Head of Settlement Operations, as part of the Settlement Team.
What you'll be doing
Duties include:
Daily
• Daily reconciliation of balance sheet positions and movements
• Daily reconciliation, analysis and posting of cash movements
• Investigation and clearing of reconciliation breaks
• Investigation and resolution of banking payment queries.
• Escalation of issues to manager as needed
• Using online banking portals to action payments
• Adhere to Safeguarding Regulations
Month-end
• Preparation and posting of monthly journals for items under your control
• Understanding and explanation around items under your control, including the P&L impact and risks within these balances
• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations to fully explain and document your balance sheet positions and the risks inherent in them
Other tasks
• Support and input to the change program
• Continual drive for process improvement and efficiency
• Cover for other team members as needed
• Support for ad-hoc tasks and queries as needed
• Raising problems that can’t be resolved with Management
What you'll be experienced in
• Good inter-personal skills and a team player
• Attention to detail
• Highly organised and systematic
• Intermediate Excel Skills
• The ability to learn new systems quickly and deal with change
• Ability to work well under pressure, within tight deadlines
The hours
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) – Monday to Friday.
