Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Recovery Resettlement Practitioner located in Southend-On-Sea. The day-to-day tasks include providing support to individuals with a history of crime or addiction, preparing and implementing resettlement plans, facilitating access to community resources, and coordinating with other service providers. The role involves delivering one-on-one support sessions, conducting risk assessments, developing personalized action plans, and monitoring progress towards recovery and resettlement goals.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and service providers
- Experience in support work, case management, or counseling
- Knowledge of community resources, housing, and employment services
- Ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop individualized action plans
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the organization
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Experience in the criminal justice or addiction recovery sector is a plus
