About this role: 

The Recruitment Manager is principally responsible for managing the recruitment and on-boarding process for new permanent and fixed-term positions, and supporting talent development initiatives across the company. As a recruitment specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent in partnership with hiring managers. As part of the People Team you will help support and develop the People function to enable and inspire colleagues to be the best version of themselves in the workplace.

About Transmission Investment:

Founded in 2011, Transmission Investment manages one of the largest offshore electricity transmission portfolios globally, connecting over 4,000MW of offshore wind from eleven GB wind farms and a grid stability synchronous compensator at Blackhillock, Scotland. It is also developing the 700MW interconnector (LirIC) between Northern Ireland and Scotland, a 1250MW interconnector to France and preparing to participate in the tender processes for onshore transmission projects as the company continues to build a significant portfolio of power assets. Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Recruitment/Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for permanent and fixed-term positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and reference checks
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions and set recruitment priorities
  • Conduct periodic compensation reviews to ensure accurate salary benchmarking, and in partnership with the Head of People develop and maintain internal salary bands for all roles
  • Deliver hiring manager training to ensure a consistent, equitable and efficient recruitment processes throughout the company
  • Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ skills and qualifications
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle, from initial sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Develop and manage Emerging Talent and Trainee recruitment strategies
  • Be the main point of contact for recruitment agencies, pro-actively managing agency relationships and ensuring terms are equitable and up to date. 
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruiting events, and other recruitment activities
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment and hiring

Talent Development:

  • Support the Head of People in the development and delivery of Talent Development and Workforce Planning strategies including the development of a Company competency-based talent map
  • Develop and implement Emerging Talent training and development programs to ensure a positive experience for employees
  • Conduct regular skill gap analysis and training needs assessments across the company

People Team Administration:

  • In coordination with People Operations Manager support the day-to-day People Team operations
  • Provide proactive, effective, and efficient HR advice across the entire employee life cycle.
  • Support Company wellness and engagement activities
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Support any other People-related initiatives, projects or administration as required.

Language:

English (required)

Education, Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in a recruitment role
  • CIPD Level 5 (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruitment strategies and best practices
  • Familiarity with Workable or other Application Tracking System 
  • Familiarity with various candidate sourcing techniques
  • Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Proven ability to develop robust recruitment strategies that encourage diversity in the workplace
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers

  • Total proficiency in entire Microsoft office suite; particularly Word and Excel
