We’re looking for a Team Leader to lead our medical recruitment team and help shape the future of how we attract and onboard doctors across our hospitals.
As a Recruitment Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process—ensuring it’s effective, customer-focused, and compliant with NHS guidelines and employment law. You'll lead the medical recruitment team, supporting the delivery of safe and efficient patient care by ensuring we attract and onboard the right people at the right time.
You’ll work closely with managers, medical staff and HR colleagues to implement recruitment plans and improve service delivery. From vacancy control and onboarding to training and performance reporting, you’ll play a pivotal role in every step of the recruitment journey.
- Lead and manage a recruitment team responsible for delivering medical recruitment services at a Trust site level.
- Co-ordinate the full recruitment process, from vacancy approval through to onboarding, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines, employment law, and internal policies.
- Monitor team performance, analyse recruitment data, and report on KPIs to support service improvements.
- Provide expert advice to hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment practices, legislation, and policy.
- Oversee systems and documentation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of candidate experience.
- Support recruitment projects, including doctor rotations, nursing intakes, and ad hoc campaigns.
- Deliver training to staff on recruitment systems (e.g., TRAC) and best practices.
- Contribute to service development, continuous improvement, and team development.
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving recruitment-related issues and queries.
