A leading global organisation is seeking a Regional Compliance & Data Privacy Manager to support the UK region while contributing to the company’s global compliance strategy. This role is ideal for a compliance professional with strong expertise in data protection and regulatory compliance, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to embed a culture of ethical, responsible data practices across the business. You will work closely with business, legal, and technical teams, ensuring compliance is integrated into projects and operations, while driving awareness of obligations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary UK contact for the supervisory authority and BAU compliance matters.
Support and drive the implementation of global data protection and compliance strategies.
Provide guidance to business stakeholders on data protection, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation.
Contribute to the compliance risk register and assist with audits, assessments, and due diligence (DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs, vendor reviews).
Support the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
Assist in delivering training and awareness programmes to promote a culture of compliance.
Manage data subject rights requests and support reporting on compliance performance, incidents, and trends.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in senior data protection and compliance roles.
Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and other global data protection laws, with practical business application.
Understanding of broader regulatory compliance frameworks.
Experience conducting risk assessments, developing compliance plans, and monitoring effectiveness.
Legal qualifications preferred.
Solid understanding of technology and information security solutions.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Highly organised, able to manage multiple initiatives and meet statutory deadlines.
Proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
