Overview
The Regional HR Executive provides operational and compliance-focused HR support for the UK and selected European countries. This role ensures adherence to local labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements, while managing day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, benefits administration, client-facing HR support, and specific facilities-related responsibilities such as car park allocation and access control.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage onboarding, induction, probation, and offboarding processes for UK-based employees.
- Prepare and issue employment contracts, amendments, and HR letters in compliance with UK labour law.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Compliance & Labour Law
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR policy and labour law queries for the UK.
- Ensure company policies and employee handbooks are up-to-date and aligned with local legislation.
- Support audits, reporting, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Advise managers on handling performance, conduct, and absence cases in line with legal obligations.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent HR in client meetings, responding to queries on organisational charts, HR policies, and processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of client HR-related requirements.
- Payroll, Benefits & Insurance
- Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
- Manage health and life insurance processes from quotes to renewals, including invoicing.
- Act as primary contact for employee benefits vendors, managing invoices and data for services such as pensions, healthcare, and other perks.
- Manage annual leave, absence reporting, and statutory entitlements.
- Global Mobility & Immigration
- Work with the Global Mobility team on visa-related queries and processes.
- Act as Level 1 user for updating sponsored employee details on HMRC/government systems.
- Monitor and action updates on UK immigration compliance requirements.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as first-line support for HR-related queries, escalating complex issues to the Head of HR - Europe when necessary.
- Support investigations, grievances, and informal conflict resolution processes.
- Monitor workplace conduct and promote adherence to company values and standards.
- Facilities & Car Park Management
- Oversee employee car park allocations and maintain an up-to-date parking register.
- Ensure car park access systems are maintained and operational.
- Address any parking-related issues or disputes in coordination with Facilities Management.
- Regional HR Support & Projects
- Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and analytics for the EMEA region.
- Support regional HR initiatives and compliance projects as needed.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues in other countries to align practices and share best approaches.
Requirements
Key Requirements
Essential:
- Proven HR generalist experience in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK labour law and compliance processes.
- Experience with client-facing HR responsibilities and vendor management.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits, and insurance processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
- Willingness to work 2 days per week in London and 2 days in the Reading office.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with HR processes in other European countries.
- Experience with HRIS and reporting tools.
