Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Regional Response Coordinator. You'll coordinate both our Permanent and Agency workforce along with ensuring the correct vehicles are assigned to the resource. This will be for both planned and reactive work.
You will be required to advise, support and assist associated internal and external departments during water, waste water and reservoir emergency incidents throughout our region.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with driving hours regulations, Operator Licence requirements, health and safety legislation, and all relevant training standards.
- Effectively organise yourself, your team, and others in a fast-paced, reactive environment, while building and adjusting daily/weekly schedules to meet operational needs.
- Manage resources proactively, including conducting pre-work site visits, manipulating planned schedules, and invoking contracts with external providers for plant and personnel.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to design emergency plant solutions, agree alternative supply strategies, and continuously improve in-house and contracted capabilities.
- Lead and report on team performance, prioritising incoming work, scheduling tasks for Regional Response Controllers, and providing regular updates on productivity and activities.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to design practical solutions and coordinate their effective delivery in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates a high regard for health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to customers, colleagues, and senior managers.
- Experience in planning and scheduling is beneficial, especially within fast-paced, reactive operational settings.
