This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the European sales team of our British company who has a worldwide reputation for manufacturing and designing high quality products. The role involves managing a number of existing customer accounts in a dedicated territory as well as working to develop the business and companies brand presence within the territory. This position would suit an ambitious, approachable and pragmatic person with a keen interest and experience in sales and business development.
The company you will work for manufactures RF antennas for a diverse range of industries including public safety; transportation; utilities; defence; Machine-to-Machine, Automation, and end-user consumer cellular markets.
The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales for Europe.
Activities & Roles
- Maintaining and being fully accountable for all customer accounts within your specific region
- Identifying key accounts to target in line with the company sales objectives
- Regularly attending prearranged appointments at new and existing customer’s premises developing business
- Attending industry exhibitions as exhibitor or delegate across the territory for the company
- Preparing and giving presentations to customer groups on the company and its products
- Liaising with engineering and R&D departments in the UK head office to support customer orders and enquiries
- Contributing towards internal group sessions with ideas and actions to further the business
- Providing regular sales activity reports to the VP sales for Europe
Requirements
- Sales experience in the telecommunications industry / radio communication / mobile network- IoT / electronic-electrical background
- Experience of managing customer accounts and creating new business in the B2B market both over the phone and face to face
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point & Outlook) and CRM
- High standard of writing, communication, organisational and negotiation skills
- Ability to work as part of a sales team in a SME
- Fluent English speaker
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work with little supervision
- Full clean driving licence
