Role of Regulatory Reporting Manager

The Regulatory Reporting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions where the firm operates. This includes ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submissions to regulators in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia. The role will provide leadership in developing a robust control framework, managing regulatory change, and acting as a trusted point of contact for both regulators and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end production and submission of regulatory returns to:
- France: Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF); Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR)
- United States: New Hampshire Banking Department
- Australia: Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC); Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensing regime
- Hong Kong: Companies Registry of Hong Kong
- Germany: Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin); Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt/Main
- UAE: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
- Singapore: Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
- Maintain a comprehensive regulatory reporting calendar covering all jurisdictions.
- Interpret new regulatory requirements and lead implementation of changes to reporting processes and systems.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Operations, and IT to ensure high-quality data sourcing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Build and oversee a strong governance and control framework around reporting processes, including reconciliations and exception management.
- Act as the primary liaison for regulatory queries, audits, and inspections.
- Support the CRO with regulatory engagement, board reporting, and oversight of global compliance risk.
- Mentor and develop a small reporting team, encouraging continuous improvement and technical expertise.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in regulatory reporting within financial services, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of prudential, transactional, and corporate reporting regimes relevant to the regulators listed above.
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory change initiatives and interact directly with regulators.
- Advanced data analysis and reconciliation skills; able to design and improve reporting controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leadership.
- Experience with reporting automation and technology solutions desirable.
