Release Train Engineer - JP Morgan - Glasgow - 12 months - ONSITE - PAYE

We are seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join JP Morgan in Glasgow on an initial 12 months contract where you'll be working on a multi-year European product migration program.


As a Release Train Engineer you'll be focusing on effectively communicating impacting project builds releases and socializing governance and best practices across the bank's matrix organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication and design skills, and the ability to foster collaboration and alignment among diverse teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Related Release Communication:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies for RIO impacting build releases, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Create clear and concise communication materials, including release notes, status updates, and presentations.

Socializing Governance and Best Practices:

  • Promote and socialize Agile and best practices across the matrix organization.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and discussions to encourage adoption and continuous improvement.

Agile Release Train Management:

  • Organize and facilitate as needed (ad hoc) Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, retrospectives, and other SAFe Agile ceremonies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product owners and team leads.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in release management or within a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
  • Proficiency in release management tools and software.


Desirable Skills:

  • Certification in SAFe or other Agile frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
