About the role
We have a new opportunity for a Service Manager to join our Guinness Property Responsive Repairs team on a full time, permanent basis in Oldham.
Reporting to the Repairs Delivery Manager you will manage and support the Responsive Repairs team to deliver quality first time fix repairs in our customers’ homes within Greater Manchester. You will manage the team’s productivity, quality of work and progress by undertaking regular inspections of work. You will also manage approved contractors’ performance and to ensure compliance with financial and non-financial contractual arrangements.

We are a customer-focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do, and we understand that successfully delivering an excellent customer focused repairs service is important.
To be considered you must be an experienced senior repairs professional with great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You will also have up to date knowledge of building construction, maintenance, repairs and safety legislation.
You will also need to demonstrate -
- Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating teams.
- Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
- Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer focused repair service.
- Experience of repairs management information systems.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Ability to manage and performance manage operational teams.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant Technical qualification – trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 First Line Management
- Full UK driving licence,
