We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting Executive to join our growing Marketing Department, based in the A&O Shearman Belfast office on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Digital and Marketing Technology team implements and manages the firm's integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels. The digital channels include our public and client websites, email marketing system, content libraries, and blogs. The team is also responsible for the technologies that support core business development and marketing processes, including experience collection, contact management, pitching and opportunity management, CV management, event management, client segmentation and marketing analytics. These broad areas of activity support each other and overlap, helping to provide a 360° view of our interactions with a client.
The team is part of the global marketing, business development and communications group.

What you will do
The Reporting Executive will be responsible for supporting and managing a suite of existing Power BI reports, ensuring they remain accurate, insightful, and aligned with business needs. They will work across all stages of the report development lifecycle-from establishing and maintaining robust data connections, to designing and delivering intuitive dashboards and visualisations.
With a strong grasp of core data visualisation principles and best practices, they will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Digital and Marketing Technology team to develop reporting and analytics solutions that empower the marketing and business development function to make data-driven decisions.

In this role you will:
*Maintain and enhance existing Power BI marketing reports, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and relevance to business objectives.
*Utilize existing website performance data sets to maintain and further develop a content performance dashboard, enhancing and optimizing ongoing thought-leadership and content marketing efforts.
*Investigate and implement new marketing data flows and working with data engineering team to establish new data connections internally within the firm's data lake.
*Support the full report development lifecycle, including data sourcing, transformation, modelling, and visualisation.
*Work closely with the Digital and Marketing Technology team to align reporting solutions with broader digital strategy and technology initiatives.
*Support reporting from the firm's dynamics CRM platform.
*Assist the wider marketing and BD community with ad hoc queries on the data contained in our marketing technology systems
*Stay informed about updates to Power BI and other relevant technologies, recommending enhancements where appropriate.
*Collaborate with stakeholders across the marketing and business development teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
*Apply data visualisation best practices to create clear, engaging, and user-friendly dashboards that support decision-making.
*Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement of reporting outputs.

What you will have
*Proven hands-on experience with data modelling, DAX, power query, and integrating multiple data sources into power BI.
*Strong background in Power BI and data visualization principles, preferably with the ability to translate complex data sources into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
*Understanding of marketing data and performance metrics is desirable, but not essential.
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
*Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, business development and technology to define requirements and deliver solutions.
*Is a self-starter, uses initiative and has a desire to take ownership of projects.
